Quality assurance at GLS Portugal includes well-defined work processes, quality guidelines with routine inspections and periodic audits. Quality indicators are managed on an ongoing basis. GLS Portugal guarantees, verifies and improves quality with a quality management system throughout its network. With its quality management system, GLS Portugal complies with high internationally recognized standards in accordance with DIN ISO 9001: 2015.

Seal of approval for environmental management

GLS Portugal obtained ISO 14001: 2015 certification for its environmental management system. This globally valid and recognized standard is one of the most important environmental management references for manufacturing companies and service providers.

Seal of approval for emission control

Through our emissions offset initiative, GLS Portugal obtained the ISO 16258:2012 certification thanks to the implementation of a standardized method for calculating and declaring energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in transport services. Officially certified by DEKRA, we are one of the first companies in the industry to obtain it.

EcoVadis Gold

GLS Group’s efforts to connect people across the world whilst protecting the environment for future generations have been rewarded with the EcoVadis Gold Certificate. GLS Group’s environmental impact score of 80/100 puts the company among the 7% top-rated companies in the sector within the Environmental category. Overall, GLS is in the top 8% of companies in the postal, courier and freight transport industry assessed by EcoVadis.
